IDPA - Action Shooting - Moore, SC

IDPA is an organization dedicated towards safe and effective practice of defensive pistol use.  An element of stress is added by conducting the practice in the form of competition.  The competitions are not the goal, merely the mechanism.  It's great to finish first and it's bummer to finish last, that's what adds the artifical stress that makes the matches closer to an actual shooting situaion.  We all hope never to be in such a situation, but hope can never replace practice and prepardness.
