Action Rifle Match - Brooksville

Dave Geilbogis runs a good outlaw match - a no nonsense match for fun and still safe. This is an outlaw match mainly to keep it moving - Dave calls it a "No Whining" match. Shoot what you can and have fun. If a target is disabled, shoot where it was/should be and move on. That's why it is an outlaw match but it runs great and great place to send a 250 rounds down range.

Gerneally there are 5 stages. One stage is demands 200 meter shots over 4 or 5 positions, two stages are CQB and two are mixed close and long range (150 yards).

Defensive Pistol League - Frostproof, FL

USADPL is my incarnation of what a defensive pistol match should be. It will be a great place to test your REAL carry gear in more realistic scenarios. It will also be a place for IDPA practice and general practice as well. It will be geared to the newer shooter interested in using their gun and gear in a more dynamic environment. Stages will be relatively simple and it will also be a good avenue for anyone interested in getting started in competition shooting. At least in the beginning I will keep the match round count under 50 rounds.

John Zaslof runs a good match at a good range. There are 6 stages with average of 28 - 32 rounds per stage of mixed targets - paper, steel, Texas Stars and movers. The shooting areas have western theme props - hitching posts, Boot Hill Grave yard, gallows, mineshafts and boardwalks with windows to shoot through - which makes this match a little different than shooting at your usual 3-sided pit.

Winnequah 3-Gun Match

What is 3-Gun?

3-Gun, or Multi-gun, is an action shooting sport that typically involves a rifle, a pistol, and a shotgun in a course of fire that often involves all 3 guns and transitions between them. 3-gun is the fastest growing shooting sport in the U.S. with local club matches at the heart if its growth! A combination of speed & accuracy, 3-gun will challenge the most skilled shooters as it is dependent not only upon skill when shooting, but movement and transitions between targets, all while emphasizing safety as the most important factor.
